On September, 19 Nikita Boriso-Glebsky performed with Radion sinfoniaorkesteri (RSO) conducted by Dima Slobodeniouk in Musiikkitalossa, Helsinki. The concert programme embraced the Symphony No. 1 “Classical” in D major, op. 25 by Sergei Prokofiev; Humouresques for violin and orchestra, op. 87 and 89 by Jean Sibelius; and one more Prokofiev’s composition which was Symphony No. 2 in D minor, op. 40.

As Vesa Sirén noted in the review for Helsingin Sanomat, “If Sibelius’s Violin Concerto is like a novel, Humouresques are like a collection of six interesting novells, the composer supposed them a “great format”, not only small pieces.

Boriso-Glebsky understood this and performed his part strikingly. Encore was especially successful presenting Fritz Kreisler’s Recitativo and Scherzo.”
